Fandoms and School

Hey there! I am so so so so so so so so SOOO sorry for the lack of updates! So when I was thinking about what made me so busy, I came up with the best idea ever! The best rant that we all can agree on. Well, at least most of us.
When school starts back, it's like a magical wonderland of reuniting with friends, finding our way around, and meeting new teachers. This magical wonderland lasts about a week, maybe two if you're lucky. Then, the homework begins.
Slowly but surely, any hope of finishing that last chapter, episode, season, show dwindles off and you fall out of fandom. That is, until the weekend. Then, you become just as enamored with it as you used to be until Monday rolls around again. This vicious cycle repeats until finally you just want to break down and cry.
Then again, maybe you're the type of person who watches your show, finishes that last chapter, or whatever else you're enamored with and then does schoolwork. For those lucky few of us who still have no idea what the effect our grades have on our futures, you stay hopeful for your fandom. Isn't it crazy that that's how it works though?
Why can't we just balance both you ask? Well, some of us are lucky enough to be able to achieve that skill set and those are the chosen few who will rule the world in the future. Most of us though, need that time to savor the fandom or understand the work.
So, maybe we should all just step back and look at what we do in our day to day lives. Maybe then we can find an explanation for our inability to balance. Then again, maybe this is another curse that we as fangirls, fanboys, and fanpersons may just have to deal with.
