Undertale AU's

   Hey there! Welcome to my blog! Now, before I begin, I'm only covering the AU's that are either really popular or ones that I found really interesting. Most if not all are a combination of those two. There are many AU's for this fandom and if you want a more detailed list I would go check out : Undertale AUs' Masterlist . That's where the list of the Undertale AU's that they've found or have been submitted are all kept in a masterlist separated by different categories. So, let's get started!

Overtale

This AU is really interesting. Basically all the monsters in Undertale are now humans who live on the surface. Frisk is the monster (who apparently looks similar to the Dreemur goat monsters) who has wandered onto the surface and just wants to get back to their home. For more information go check out Chass Draw's Overtale "Thought Dump" . He has a lot of canon ideas there for this AU that will be easier than me just writing them all down.

Outertale

This AU has the same storyline with a few minor differences and one major one: the monsters were not banished to the underground. Instead they were banished to space. The story follows the same plot with differences added to suit the fact that everyone is in outer space. Everyone has the same personalities and they wear similar clothing to what they do in the game. Some character names are changed such as Greater Dog becoming "Canis Major" and Lesser Dog becoming "Canis Minor" but there isn't really anything too drastic. Something that I think is really cool about this AU is that SOULS are hearts with stars in them. For more information check out Undertale AUs' Outertale post .

Underfell

This AU was made more for design rather than story so the creator's are currently allowing fans to come up with their own canon ideas although that might change as the AU becomes more popular. It's really just the idea that each monster is an alternate, evil version of themselves except for Frisk, Chara, and Flowey. Frisk, Chara, and Flowey are basically Pacifist-Run characters surrounded by Genocide-Run based monsters. There are a few accepted ideas that you can find at Undertale AUs' Underfell post . Personally, I really think this AU is interesting since it shows how the game could've been different if Toby had chosen a different route with the game.

Alone Together

This AU is definitely really interesting. It says that Sans and Papyrus are actually two halves of Gaster's soul which split when he fell into the Core. So he doesn't exist anymore but Sans and Papyrus occasionally remember odd things or phrases from their past life.

And Nobody Came

This AU says that after a True RESET of a Pacifist run, a Genocide run was activated. Something changed in between causing the memories and feelings to create a more stable amalgamation the size of a small child with no face which appeared in the Ruins. The amalgamated memories try to reverse the murder in the Genocide run while also trying to track down and kill Chara which frees Frisk from the well noted "bad time" in the process. This ends up killing someone who didn't actually exist although I'm not quite sure who since it does not mention who.

Gastertale

Frisk, alone in Waterfall, stumbles upon a mysterious figure that begs to be SAVED. Frisk being the kind person they are, agrees to save the person who happens to be Gaster. He reinserts himself into the timeline erasing Frisk entirely in the process. Gaster is considederd unstable and unleashes himself upon the timeline. Bromalgamate

This AU is based off of a comic in which Papyrus is dying and in desperation to save his brother Sas injects him with DETERMENATION in spite of Alphys' objections. This causes Papyrus to melt and Sans tried to hold him in distress causing him to be covered in goop and begin to melt as well. They became a amalgamate of messy goop. There is a happy ending to this story which is made by combining the creator's other AU. That AU will be discussed next. Some things that are really interesting about this amalgamate is that it  can't talk very well since goop is dripping out of both skulls' mouths. When someone mentions being spilt up, the amalgamate becomes distressed. For more details go to : Undertale AU's Bromalgamate post .

Comic Papyrus

This AU is the happy ending to the Bromalgamate AU as well as it's own AU. Comic Papyrus is the stable version of Sans and Papyrus from a previous goopy amalgamate at the end of a stabilization experiment. He refers to himself as "we" or "us" while also implying that he is one being at the same time. For more information check out : Undertale AUs' Comic Papyrus post

Brothertale

This AU has a really interesting story. Frisk messes with things outside of their control leading to Chara running free among the timelines and getting close to erasing people like Gaster. Frisk needs help and forces Papyrus to remember the other timelines while Sans is going mad possibly from being stabbed by a glowing knife.
